Job Seekers

"The biggest mistake that job seekers / interviewers make when negotiating salary is that they go to the table needy rather than making themselves needed." - CEO Ken Sundheim

When we staff the right person and you get promoted, you are much more likely to come to us with a hiring responsibility. Moreover, we interview our clients just as much as we do our applicants.

You will never get a call from us representing a poorly run, underpaying, unstable company.

Your Next Career Step

Just as we owe our clients very effective, hard working applicants, our recruiting team owes our job candidates the next step in a good career.

We want our candidates to be happy, and put in an environment that, regardless of the size of the firm, is entrepreneurial and pays well.

It is common sense that you cannot coerce anybody into taking a position, nor will anyone here try to do so if they would like to stay employed at KAS.

In-house Trained Recruiting Professionals

For this reason, recruiters at KAS are not former recruiters and are not paid per deal that they make.

Instead they are paid heavily on their base salary and are shareholders of KAS Placement, or given quarterly bonuses based on our company's performance.

Also, nobody here has the mentality that we are doing an applicant some sort of favor by staffing him or her. All we are doing is our job for our clients; we only work with good clients and we only work with solid, serious applicants at all levels.

Can We Relocate Candidates?

There is only potential to do so for senior to executive level candidates with clear industry expertise and an impressive background. Our clients must have a compelling reason to consider non-local candidates.

For them, relocation is expensive in terms of both time and money, and because we only work in major metropolitan areas, there are usually many qualified people in the space.

If you are looking to relocate, we suggest that you go directly to employers, as this is hard for us to do.

What Types of Industries and Clients Do You Work With?

We work throughout all industries. The jobs we work on all have base salaries and are B2B.

Also, the clients whom we take on pay market or above market base salary rates.

We don't have time to take on clients who are paying a base of $30,000, but "the sky is the limit."

We must protect our brand and if we begin taking on hourly rate jobs for Joe Smith Insurance Inc., who is looking to take advantage of sales professionals, it looks bad and we lose applicants.

Employees need to have a good base salary. We make that clear to our clients.

We interview our clients as much as we interview our candidates. We will not pitch you a $70,000 base salary if your expertise lends you to having a $100,000 initial compensation package.

Good candidates are less apt to work with us if we call and waste their time; this is not to mention that it is insulting.
