KAS - Sales, Marketing and Media Recruiting
About Our Recruiters
What if your recruiting firm brought more to the table, rather than throwing resumes at you, hoping you capitulate to a hire and getting paid $5,000 short of a BMW for doing so?
When I decided to start a business, I didn't start KAS Placement because I loved recruiting, I started it because I loved sales and marketing (I'm proud of the fact that I wrote, programmed and designed this website) and happened to see an opportunity.
At the age of 25, I went to take a girlfriend out to lunch. It happened that her office shared an open floor with a recruiting firm.
Sitting in the lobby for 10 minutes or so, I noticed a bunch of overpaid, over arrogant, yet barely literate individuals barking at job seekers as if they were subhuman.
"Yep," I realized, "I can compete with those guys." I got a book on the subject and the rest is.... well, not history - it's currently happening.
At first, I played their game, meaning that I would throw resumes at random HR representatives from all over the country until it dawned on me that instead of beating these guys at their game, what if I actually attempted to change the way things were done?
I stared operating on the premise that human resources is too important to a company to leave to people who can barely write emails, or who will use fake names at times. As my firm grew and I went on to hire employees of my own, I began to see firsthand the importance of having a competitive team, and began having a tremendous amount of empathy for my clients.
What always drew me to sales, marketing and media it that I was and am good at it. This is what I want to be doing all day as a career for the rest of my life and I will fight to do so.
I think that the aforementioned passion has allowed me to lead the people here and, in the first place recruit some exceedingly impressive individuals who, like me, would have never thought they would become recruiters.
Luckily for me, they have as strong as passion for helping out both the employers and candidates that come our way as I do.
